Archery

Archers will compete in an individual event which consists of a qualification session, a Round Robin and medal matches. Head to head matches will be shot to earn points for the overall standings, in order to get a place in the medal matches. The shooting distance will be chosen according to the variation of the contenders.

Familiarization session

The archers can practice on the field of play to let the body adapt after a travel day. They will get to know the field, know how to read the wind and get their mindset ready for competition.

Qualification session

A cumulative score of 6 ends of 6 arrows to decide the ranking. The ranking round will be awarded with points for the overall standings and will set a base for the Round Robin.

Round Robin

In the Round Robin matches every archer will face every opponent in a 12 arrow match (4×3 arrows). Archers earn set points with every match: win (2), draw (1) or loss (0). A total of 7 matches will be shot.

Based on the set points earned, there will be a top 4 who will shoot for a medal. Number 4 will face number 3 for bronze. Number 2 will face number 1 for gold. Finals will be shot on separate targets where they will be the center of attention.
