Volleybal
Competition format
All registered teams play a first and second round in groups of 3 and 4 (each team plays all opponents in its group). After that, the best ranked teams from the second round compete in a final round; the other teams play placement matches. The teams not playing at the time will provide the referees (one scorer and two referees); from the final matches onwards the matches will be overseen by referees from the Dutch Volleyball Association (Nevobo).
Competition rules
In principle, the rules of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) apply. Matches are best-of-two sets on Thursday and best of three sets played to 25 points, the deciding 3rd set is played to 15 points (2 points difference). The interval between sets is no longer than 3 minutes. The teams are requested to report to the tournament director 30 minutes before their first match is set to begin. The list of the team members must be filled in 30 minutes before start of the match. Official balls with the Rabobank Orion seal of quality will be used. All players are asked to wear shoes with non-marking soles.
Scoring
The scoring within the group follows the points system (win 2 points; loss 0 points). In the event of a draw between two teams, the deciding factor is first the better set ratio, then the better point ratio.
